Layout, size, and quantity will be the major themes that need to be determined. You will also need to consider all of the spaces in your home. When looking at a floor plan, homeowners often view functional spaces as an afterthought. Instead, make every space part of your planning. Your floor plan should also consider more than the square footage of a room. Your floor plan will include a window layout, door location, countertops, cabinets, built-in storage, and other features.
